artist statement for exhibiting symptoms:
this was an art piece involving text and image, which addressed having a debilitating disease. the subject matter was based on my mother, and her battle with acute multiple sclerosis. this project explored my mothers battle with the disease, and how it had affected my whole family. in this, it examined the effects of sickness on all members of the family.
